Valve Replacement

Replace worn or leaking irrigation valves to restore water flow and control.

Irrigation valves wear out. Sand clogs them. Heat and UV break down the seals. When yours stops shutting off or won't open all the way, water pools where it shouldn't or your zones run dry. We pull the bad valve, install a new one matched to your system, and test it so your zones run the way they're supposed to.

Houston's heat and mineral-heavy water are hard on valve internals. We see a lot of corrosion and sediment buildup, especially in older systems. When we replace a valve, we flush the line first so debris doesn't jam the new one. We use commercial-grade valves that handle our climate and water quality, not the cheapest residential parts.

You get your zones back to working independently. One zone won't steal water from another. Your lawn or garden gets consistent flow. No more guessing whether a brown patch is drought stress or a broken valve. The system runs clean and quiet, and you're not wasting water on overflow.

Questions

About valve replacement

How do I know if my valve needs replacement?

If one zone stays wet while others dry out, or if a zone won't turn off even when the timer says it should, the valve is likely stuck or leaking internally. We can diagnose it in a quick site visit.

Will you replace just the valve or do I need a whole new system?

Just the valve. As long as your lines and timer are in good shape, we swap out the bad valve and you're done. A full system replacement only makes sense if most of your valves are failing or your lines are broken.

How long does valve replacement take?

Usually 30 to 45 minutes depending on where the valve sits and how much sediment we need to flush. We schedule it as a single service call, and you're back to normal watering the same day.
